Ultimate Comics: Avengers is a comic book published by Marvel Comics that began in August of 2009 as part of the relaunch of the Ultimate Universe under the new “Ultimate Comics” imprint.

The X-Men are a superhero team in the Marvel Comics Universe. They were created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, and first appeared in The X-Men #1 (September 1963). Professor Xavier recruited Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Beast and Jean Grey, calling them “X-Men” because they possessed special powers due to their possession of the “X-Gene”, a gene normal humans lacked and gives Mutants their abilities.
Uncanny X-Men, first published as simply The X-Men, is the flagship Marvel Comics comic book series for the X-Men franchise. Being the official canon, it features the adventures of the eponymous group of mutant superheroes.
